The Medical Technical Institute in Kirkuk Organizes a Community Initiative on Blood Collection Techniques

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Dean of the Medical Technical Institute/Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Lizan Medhat Mohammed, the Medical Technical Institute in Kirkuk organized a scientific community initiative entitled:

“Blood Collection Techniques… A Community-Based and Sustainable Initiative.”

The initiative was implemented by the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Division and the Scientific Care Forum at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with the participation of: Mr. Samir Ahmed Mohammed, Ms. Nibras Jassim Hammadi, Mr. Abdullah Fakhri Abdullah, and Ms. Marwa Ali Hamid, Assistant Head of Biology.

The initiative addressed awareness and training topics focused on enhancing community awareness of the importance of blood donation and disseminating safe and healthy practices in blood collection according to modern medical standards, thus contributing to supporting the health sector and saving lives. The initiative also aimed to establish a sustainable health culture among community members through ongoing training and education, and to encourage humanitarian volunteer work to ensure that blood banks are supplied safely and regularly.
