The Medical Technical Institute/Kirkuk concludes a scientific course entitled: (Biochemistry of Diseases and the Environment: Towards a Sustainable Healthy Future)
Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and the direct supervision of the Dean of the Medical Technical Institute/Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Lizan Medhat Mohammed, the Department of Pharmacy Technologies at the Medical Technical Institute/Kirkuk, in cooperation with the University’s Quality Assurance and Performance Division, organized a scientific course entitled:
(Biochemistry of Diseases and the Environment: Towards a Sustainable Healthy Future).
The course was presented by Dr. Nuha Hamza Khader, who addressed the relationship between biochemical processes in the human body and environmental factors and their impact on health and disease. She also reviewed the role of oxidative stress, free radicals, and environmental pollutants in causing biological disorders and the development of many diseases. Furthermore, she highlighted the importance of biomarkers in the early diagnosis and monitoring of disease progression.
The course aimed to enhance scientific understanding of the biochemistry of diseases and to clarify the relationship between the environment and human health. It also sought to raise awareness of the importance of biomarkers and antioxidants in disease prevention, thus supporting the drive towards a healthy environment and a sustainable future.
At the conclusion of the course, emphasis was placed on the importance of intensifying scientific research in the field of biochemistry related to environmental factors, developing modern laboratory techniques, promoting the use of biomarkers in early diagnosis, and increasing awareness of the importance of preventing environmental pollutants to protect human health.
