Scientific visit by nursing technology students to the Oncology Center

The Medical Technical Institute/Kirkuk Organizes a Scientific Visit for Nursing Technology Students to the Oncology Center

 

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Dean of the Medical Technical Institute/Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Lizan Medhat Mohammed, and within the framework of strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and specialized health centers, the Nursing Technology Department organized a field visit for second-year students to the Oncology Center in Kirkuk.

 

The Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Kalawish Nouri, accompanied by a group of faculty members, observed the work being done at the center. They were received by the Director of the Center, Dr. Niaz Ahmed Amin, who emphasized the importance of such visits in bridging the gap between theory and practice and developing students’ field experience.

 

The visit aimed to familiarize students with the work environment within healthcare institutions, introduce them to the latest methods used in diagnosing and treating cancerous diseases, and familiarize them with advanced medical equipment and its role in enhancing diagnostic accuracy.

 

During the visit, the students received a detailed explanation from the medical staff about the nature of tumors, methods of early detection, and various treatment options, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy. They also had the opportunity to see firsthand the modern equipment and technologies used in the laboratories and treatment units.

 

This visit is part of the support provided to the students’ educational journey, contributing to the development of their scientific skills and enhancing their understanding of the importance of comprehensive healthcare.
