Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Lizan Medhat Muhammad, Dean of the Technical Medical Institute,
the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division, organized a workshop titled “Green Chemistry: A Path Towards Sustainable Development and Advanced Environmental Solutions”

The workshop included:
Introducing the concept of green chemistry for the purpose of reducing or preventing pollution at the source, improving economic and environmental efficiency, manufacturing safe and environmentally friendly chemicals, and supporting sustainability in the chemical industry.
The workshop aimed to:
1. Introduce participants to the concept of green chemistry
2. Explain the most important objectives of green chemistry
3. Explain methods for replacing solvents and toxic materials with environmentally friendly alternatives
4. Identify methods for reducing pollution and chemical waste
