As part of strengthening institutional cooperation and raising health safety standards, the Kirkuk Medical Technical Institute received a health delegation from the Kirkuk Health Department. The field visit was conducted in cooperation with the Immunodeficiency Control Unit of the Public Health Department, and with the participation of the laboratory unit in Kirkuk’s First Sector and the Al-Ikhaa Health Center.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the Dean of the Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Lizan Medhat Mohammed, in the presence of the heads of the academic departments, laboratory supervisors, and a number of academic specialists. Discussions focused on ways to enhance preventive measures and integrate joint efforts to maintain a safe educational and health environment.
The visit included conducting hepatitis and immunodeficiency tests for medical laboratory staff and students from the medical departments, as part of the periodic health monitoring programs. This contributes to supporting occupational safety and preventing health risks within educational institutions.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination and cooperation between the health sector and academic institutions, in accordance with approved health standards and to enhance the quality of performance and services provided.
