A workshop at the Kirkuk Medical Technical Institute discusses intellectual extremism and its impact on society.
Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Dean of the Kirkuk Medical Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Lizan Medhat Mohammed, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Nursing Department, held a workshop entitled “Intellectual Extremism and its Impact on Society.”
The workshop featured presentations by Dr. Bushra Nour El-Din Ghafour and Ms. Mona Jabbar Jaloub, who addressed the concept of intellectual extremism, its psychological and social causes, its forms and manifestations within society and educational institutions, as well as its impact on social peace and cohesion.
The workshop emphasized the dangers of intellectual extremism and its negative effects on individuals and society. It stressed the importance of the role of educational institutions in preventing it by promoting a culture of dialogue, tolerance, and moderate thought, and by activating awareness and guidance methods to build a safe educational environment and a cohesive society based on moderation and national belonging.
