Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Lizan Medhat Mohammed, Dean of the Medical Technical Institute, the Department of Community Health Technologies, in cooperation with the University’s Quality Assurance and Performance Division, held a scientific workshop entitled:
(Organic Agriculture as a Sustainable Option for Environmental Protection)

This study addressed organic agriculture as a sustainable option that contributes to protecting the environment from pollution and maintaining ecological balance by reducing the use of harmful chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
It included an explanation of the concept of organic agriculture, its most important principles, its role in improving soil fertility and preserving natural resources, in addition to its health and economic benefits for society.
It aimed to highlight the importance of adopting organic agriculture as a method of sustainable development and to encourage environmentally friendly agricultural practices to ensure healthy food security for present and future generations.
