Kirkuk Medical Technical Institute organizes a workshop entitled: (Linking the University to the Labor Market through the Science Park)

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Lizan Medhat Mohammed, Dean of the Medical Technical Institute, and in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Najdat Nusrat (Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs), the Science and Technology Parks Unit, in cooperation with Government College University Hyderabad – Pakistan, in the Department of Nursing Technologies, organized a training workshop entitled:

 

(Linking the University to the Labor Market through the Science Park)

Lecturers:

 

1. Ms. Fatima Kanaan Fateh – Head of the Science and Technology Parks Unit

 

2. Prof. Dr. Aucif Ali Bhatti – Faculty Member at GCUH

 

Workshop Themes:

 

The workshop addressed a number of key themes aimed at strengthening the role of the Science Park as an interactive bridge between the university and the private sector, including:

 

1. Introducing students to the role of the Science Park and how it functions as a link between academic institutions and the job market by providing training opportunities, project support, and technology incubation.

 

2. Enabling students to transform ideas into applied projects by utilizing the Science Park’s facilities to support innovation and prototyping.

 

3. Enhancing practical training within startups and incubators through joint programs between the Science Park and job market institutions.

 

4. Improving students’ readiness for the job market by introducing them to the skills required in the technological and entrepreneurial sectors and supporting their development.

 

5. Fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation and encouraging students to establish small, scalable projects within the Science Park.

 

6. Facilitating direct communication with companies and institutions, which helps students build professional relationships and facilitates future employment opportunities. 7. Linking graduation projects to market needs

By encouraging students to implement practical projects that align with company requirements.

 

8. Informing students about available support and funding opportunities

Such as incubation programs, mentorship, and entrepreneurship competitions offered by the Science Park.

 

9. Fostering a culture of innovation to address societal and industrial challenges

Through applied projects that contribute to supporting the country’s technological transformation.

 

Workshop Conclusion

This workshop was part of the institute’s efforts to develop the educational environment and enhance the university’s role in serving the community and the job market by providing innovative educational platforms that support entrepreneurial thinking and innovation among students.
