(Honoring Parents and Its Impact on Society)

The seminar addressed:

Honoring parents has a profound impact on both the individual and societal levels. It influences the development of a person’s character and enhances their psychological and social stability. On a personal level, honoring parents helps develop an individual’s identity and moral values, and contributes to achieving psychological balance through the emotional support and self-confidence it provides. It also enhances an individual’s abilities and motivates them to succeed and achieve their goals.

The seminar demonstrated:

That honoring parents and fulfilling their obligations has a significant impact on strengthening human values ​​within the individual and society by promoting compassion, loyalty, and respect, which is reflected in family stability and the strength of social cohesion. The symposium also highlighted that honoring one’s parents is a great act of worship with immense reward from God, and that respecting parents positively impacts an individual’s character and ability to build healthy and strong social relationships.

The symposium explained that honoring one’s parents is not only a religious right but also a foundation for the well-being of society and the family, preventing family disintegration and deviance. It also plays a role in raising generations imbued with the values ​​of compassion and loyalty, which are naturally reflected in their daily actions and their interactions with society. The symposium also discussed how to avoid disobedience and mistreatment of parents, emphasizing the importance of respect and care.

Quranic verses and Prophetic traditions urging honoring parents were presented, and the rights parents have over their children were explained from an Islamic perspective. Participants stressed the importance of awareness and continuous education in these values ​​to reduce family and social disintegration within society, while also emphasizing the importance of communication and respect between generations to maintain social cohesion.

The symposium aimed to:

1- Raise awareness of the importance of honoring parents.

2- Promote the values ​​of honoring parents in society. 3. Sharing experiences and best practices regarding honoring parents.

4. Providing practical recommendations on how to honor parents.

5. Advocating for collaborative efforts towards a more cohesive and stable society.

The symposium concluded with the following:

1. Teaching young people how to practice honoring parents in a daily and practical manner.

2. Promoting a family culture that combines respect and care.

3. Organizing regular workshops and seminars to enhance the younger generation’s understanding of the value of parents.

4. Utilizing religious texts as an educational resource to encourage kindness and compassion.
